Jack Peacock Award

Jack Peacock Best Club Person Award

The Jack Peacock Best Club Person Award recognises the individual whose contribution to Baxter Cricket Club extends beyond performances on the field — someone who gives their time, energy and commitment for the benefit of the club and its members.

The award honours Jack Peacock, one of the outstanding cricketers in Baxter’s history and one of the great batsmen and run-scorers of Mornington Peninsula cricket. Jack’s achievements with the bat established him as a major figure in the game, but his contribution to Baxter was about far more than runs and records.

He was also a tremendous club man — someone whose loyalty, involvement and commitment helped strengthen the club around him. It is fitting that an award recognising service, contribution and the spirit of putting the club first carries his name.

The Jack Peacock Best Club Person Award therefore celebrates the qualities that make a sporting club thrive: commitment, generosity, involvement and a willingness to contribute wherever needed.
