Remembering those who came before us
Our Past Players and Life Members are an important part of the Baxter story. Their contribution helped establish the traditions, culture and values that continue to shape our Club today.
Through our historical photographs, records, honours and memories, we want to preserve these stories so that current and future generations can understand where Baxter Cricket Club has come from.
Celebrating our people
The Club proudly recognises those who have made a lasting contribution, including recipients of the:
- Kevin Prideaux Memorial Trophy – Most Improved Player
- Bob Hooper Trophy – Club Champion
- R.M. “Mick” Scales Trophy – Junior Club Champion
- Jack Peack Award – Best Club Person
- Life Membership
- 20 Years of Service recognition
These awards and honours represent more than individual achievement — they are part of the fabric of Baxter Cricket Club.
Explore our historical archives
An important part of preserving Baxter’s history is making it available for past players, families, supporters and future generations to explore.
Our growing Historical Photos Archive brings together photographs from across the Club’s history, including teams, premierships, presentations, social occasions and other moments that have helped shape Baxter Cricket Club.
We are also progressively digitising the Club’s original scorebooks. The Scorebook Archive provides a fascinating record of matches, players, performances and seasons from years gone by, preserving information that might otherwise eventually be lost.
Both archives are continuing projects, and we hope to keep expanding them as more photographs, records and information become available. Past players and supporters who can help identify people, dates or events in historical photographs are also helping us preserve the Baxter story more accurately.
Our history continues
History isn’t simply something that belongs in the past. Every season adds another chapter.
Every player who takes the field, every junior who begins their cricket journey, every volunteer who gives their time and every family who becomes part of Baxter adds to the Club’s story.
As we celebrate those who have come before us, we look forward to creating new memories, new achievements and new traditions for the generations that follow.
Baxter Cricket Club — proud of our past, united in our present and building our future.
