Kevin Prideaux Memorial Trophy – Most Improved Player
The Kevin Prideaux Memorial Trophy is awarded to Baxter Cricket Club’s Most Improved Player, recognising a player who has shown significant development, commitment and progress across the season.
The trophy honours Kevin Prideaux, a Baxter 1st XI player whose life was tragically cut short when he was struck and killed by lightning while batting for Baxter.
His death remains one of the most tragic events in the club’s history. By attaching his name to an award that recognises improvement, perseverance and growth, the club ensures that Kevin’s memory continues to be carried forward through each new generation of Baxter players.
The trophy is both a sporting award and a lasting memorial to a player whose connection to Baxter Cricket Club will never be forgotten.
