CHILD SAFETY COMMITMENT
Every Child. Every Time. No Exceptions.
At Baxter Cricket Club, the safety, wellbeing and rights of every child are our highest priority.
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, respectful and welcoming environment where all children can participate in cricket, feel valued, develop their skills and enjoy being part of our club.
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse, grooming, neglect, bullying and any behaviour that places a child at risk. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of child safety through the implementation of our Child Safety Policies, Codes of Conduct, reporting procedures and all relevant legislative requirements.
Child safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Every player, parent, member, coach, volunteer and official has a role to play in protecting children. We expect everyone involved with Baxter Cricket Club to:
Put the safety, wellbeing and best interests of children first.
Treat every child with dignity, respect and fairness.
Promote an inclusive environment free from discrimination, abuse and harm.
Follow the club’s child safety policies and Codes of Conduct.
Speak up, report concerns and take action whenever a child’s safety or wellbeing may be at risk.
REPORT A CHILD SAFETY CONCERN
We encourage anyone with a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child at Baxter Cricket Club to speak up. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled appropriately.
